The Surroundings

Last month we took part in something that’s quite popular in this region — the Rando du Goût. This time it was held in Ayen, the village closest to our farm.
We could sign up on the spot for one of three distances, and we chose the 15-kilometre route, which would bring us back to the starting point.
Along the way, there were lots of stalls from small local producers where you could sample products or simply enjoy a drink.

And the walk itself? It was stunning and full of variety. Don’t be fooled — the hills here are quite the challenge!
We passed natural springs and old lavoirs — ancient stone wash basins from long ago.
The route also took us through walnut groves and other orchards, through woods and over hills, and past the picturesque village of Perpezac-le-Blanc.
It was truly worth it.

Have a lovely day,
Marjolein
